Is the trail free?

Yes! It is completely free to follow the Morph’s Epic Art Adventure London trail.

We ask for a £1 suggested donation when you pick up a copy of our trail map, but this is optional. There is a small charge of 99p to download the trail app, which allows Whizz Kidz to recoup the cost of producing the app. The app allows you to collect and interact with sculptures, engage with additional content, unlock rewards offered by our sponsors and more. We have kept the cost of the app as low as possible to ensure the trail is accessible to as many people as possible.

You can also download a copy of the trail map completely free of charge here: https://www.morphsadventurelondon.com/art-trail-map/

When will the trail launch?

The trail will launch on 19th June and will be live for 9 weeks over the summer, finishing on 20th August.

Where will the sculptures be located?

Where can I donate the £1 suggested donation, as detailed on the maps?

£1 donations can be made at Donate to Whizz Kidz. Or you can donate by scanning QR code that you’ll find printed on the map.

Is there an app?

Yes! With the app you can:

  • Collect Morph and Mini Morph sculptures
  • Unlock rewards
  • View your trail progress
  • Add your photos to our gallery
  • Track your steps and distance travelled with the pedometer while following the trail

Plus loads more brilliant features for just £0.99, from the App Store or Google Play

*Net proceeds will be donated to Whizz Kidz to support our work with young wheechair users.

How long is the trail?

The Morph’s Epic Art Adventure in London trail spans a distance of approximately 5 miles (based on location mapping via Google Maps). This distance doesn’t include the sculpture based at Paddington Station, which is easy to reach via public transport. However, there is no fixed route and you are free to visit them in any order and by whichever route you choose.

How easy will it be to see the Morph and Mini Morph sculptures?

The aim is for the trail to take people on a journey of discovery and to showcase many areas of the city. Each of the locations for the larger sculptures have been chosen as they are fully accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  The Mini Morphs require a little more care and are positioned by windows inside shops and businesses that are open during working days. However some local restrictions may apply. Whizz Kidz and Wild in Art cannot be held liable for any Morph and Mini Morph sculptures that are unavailable for viewing.

Is the trail accessible?

The trail is step-free, we have tested the route with both manual wheelchair users and powered wheelchair users. There are accessible train stations along the route and we’ve provided a suggested route to help navigate the sculptures around Borough Market and its cobbled streets. We cannot guarantee that road works or other unanticipated events will not compromise the accessibility of the sculptures but we have done everything we can to ensure that they will be accessible.

What happens if a Morph or Mini Morph sculpture is vandalised?

The locations of the Morph and Mini Morph sculptures are purposefully chosen to avoid vandalism. In most Wild in Art trails this is a rare occurrence. Decisions about vandalism are made on a case-by-case basis. Principally, all efforts will be made to restore the sculpture.

If you need to report a vandalised or damaged sculpture, please call: 0207 798 6122.

Who’s paying for the Morphs and Mini Morph sculptures to be made and designed?

All large Morph sculptures on the trail are sponsored by a business who has partnered with Whizz Kidz to deliver the trail. The Mini Morph sculptures have been funded schools participating in Morph’s Epic Learning Adventure. The Morph’s Epic Art Adventure London trail is a full cost recovery project and it’s thanks to our sponsors that we’ve been able to put the trail on.

How can I support Whizz Kidz through the trail? Are there any fundraising activities available?

Yes, we would be delighted if you chose to support Whizz Kidz! You can Donate to Whizz-Kidz online by visiting our website – www.whizz-kidz.org.uk or you can scan the QR code that you’ll find on each sculpture plinth or on our trail maps.

We are also fundraising by offering you the chance to win your very own Mini Morph sculpture to design and decorate at home, plus an Epic Adventure in London for your family. Keep an eye on our social media channels for more information.

If you’re keen to do some fundraising, take on the trail as a sponsored challenge and raise funds for Whizz Kidz by visiting as many sculptures as you can. You can get top tips for fundraising on the Whizz Kidz website and fill in our online form to let our expert fundraising team know about your plans so they can support you.

What happens to the sculptures at the end of the trail?

The Celebration Weekend (19th-20th Aug) will be the last chance to see them out in public, take your final selfies, and join in on lots of activities. After that the sculptures will be auctioned to raise money for Whizz Kidz.

Can I buy a blank sculpture?

Blank sculptures, both large and small, are not available to buy currently. This is to protect the value of the sculptures at the auction which will raise funds for Whizz Kidz.

You can however win a Mini Morph of our own to decorate at home by entering our fundraising draw. More details to come.

Why is Whizz Kidz hosting this trail?
To raise funds to support our work, to raise awareness, start a conversation about the importance of accessibility and the role we all have to play in building a more inclusive society for young wheelchair users, and to bring a joyful, step-free art event to the streets of the capital for the public to enjoy. Plus the brief explainer about why Morph.

What does Whizz Kidz do?

As the UK’s leading charity for young wheelchair users, we empower young people by providing the wheelchairs, equipment, support and confidence-building experiences they need, and campaigning for a more inclusive society. Our vision is a society in which every young wheelchair user is mobile, enabled and included.

  • About young wheelchair users in the UK
  • An estimated 75,000 young people in the UK need a wheelchair to be mobile.
  • Most young people aren’t getting a wheelchair that fully meets their needs through local services
  • For a young person, having the wrong wheelchair can lead to dependence on others, social isolation, poor mental health, pain and injury.
  • Without the ability to be independent young wheelchair users are restricted in their ability to socialise and participate in society.
