Design Description
Ade Adepitan MBE is a TV presenter, Paralympic medallist, journalist and father. Cyborg Cat is the much loved character from his children’s book series of the same name. Ade grew up thinking that superheroes don’t look like him (they don’t have disabilities), so with illustrator Carl Pearce, they have created ‘Cyborg Cat’, a superhero character who wears a leg brace.
Artists Information
Born and raised on the North Wales coast amongst castles, ruins, mountains and beaches, on a diet of 80’s Saturday morning cartoons, comic books and movies, Carl Pearce wanted nothing more than to grow up to be a detective. However, that didn’t work out. Falling back on his ability to draw, Carl attended The North Wales School of Art and Design. He pursued a career in illustration. Carl still lives in North Wales, sketching artwork for children’s books all day, but now has the company of his lovely wife and two beautifully cheeky kids. And when he grows up he still wants to be a detective. Or a Ghostbuster.
Mik Richardson has produced over 400 murals, and has also been involved in many public art trails across the country. He has painted 97 Wild in Art sculptures for 47 trails and 29 others for other trails, raising over £400,000 for the charities involved. Mik has also illustrated his first children’s story book based around one of the Wild in Art sculptures that he designed & painted.

Buy a Morph at Auction
When the Trail ends, the super-sized Morph sculptures will be auctioned to raise funds for Whizz Kidz. Whizz Kidz supports young people by providing the wheelchairs, equipment, support and confidence-building experiences they need, and campaigning for a more inclusive society. We hope to raise enough funds in the auction to allow 100 more young wheelchair users across England, Scotland and Wales be mobile, enabled and included.
