Design Description

We’re proud of our pirates in Bristol, where I come from. And of course Morph himself is a born-and-bred Bristolian, so it seemed obvious to combine two great loves – Morph and pirates. I thought Morph should be quite a classy, up-market sort of pirate. He’s not one of those scuzzy sea-dogs you sometimes see - he’s a gentleman pirate and a very snazzy dresser. I asked Rachel Bennett to help me develop the design and the credit for making him look quite so brilliant goes to her. She painted such a glamorous outfit, and he looks so proud and confident, that I had to name him Swashbuckler.

Buy a Morph at Auction

When the Trail ends, the super-sized Morph sculptures will be auctioned to raise funds for Whizz Kidz. Whizz Kidz supports young people by providing the wheelchairs, equipment, support and confidence-building experiences they need, and campaigning for a more inclusive society. We hope to raise enough funds in the auction to allow 100 more young wheelchair users across England, Scotland and Wales be mobile, enabled and included.
