Design Description

Morph’s friend Delilah is paying homage to London’s legacy as a fashion capital donning an adaptive tartan two piece inspired by trail blazing fashion designers Vivienne Westwood and Alexander McQueen’s, as well as Alison and Caitlyn’s, Scottish heritage. An example of adaptive fashion - her clothes are designed to accommodate the needs of disabled people. The jacket has armhole zips so sleeves can detach and cuffs can open wide. It has a flexible back so she can put it on herself or by a helper from the back. Magnetic closures replace buttons and a kilt skirt can be unwrapped so wheelchair users can dress themselves independently whilst seated. Even Delilah’s boots can open fully so feet can slide straight in without restriction.

Buy a Morph at Auction

When the Trail ends, the super-sized Morph sculptures will be auctioned to raise funds for Whizz Kidz. Whizz Kidz supports young people by providing the wheelchairs, equipment, support and confidence-building experiences they need, and campaigning for a more inclusive society. We hope to raise enough funds in the auction to allow 100 more young wheelchair users across England, Scotland and Wales be mobile, enabled and included.
